There are several large lots on Putnam Street a block from the starting point and next to the park and street parking is often available but there are times when parking is a challenge although at the time the tour starts, parking is usually not a problem.

Yes. Cameras and filming are allowed during the tour. We strongly encourage participants to take photos during the tour (and hope you will share them with your friends).

If you are bringing an infant/very young child there is no charge.

The tours are held rain or shine. We advise you to check the weather conditions for your day’s event and dress appropriately. In the case of severe storms, all participants will be notified and can choose either a refund or a rain check.

No, we end at the carousel in the park about a block from where we start.

Absolutely. The tour route is flat and mostly on paved pathways.

Absolutely, there is no charge for children under 12. The tour is 90 minutes long and some children have a limited attention span and therefore the tour may not be appropriate for some of them. Parents, who know their children best, should assess the situation individually. Since there is a lot of standing and walking, please consider this when deciding whether the tour is appropriate for your child.

We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a good chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please email us to let us know what date you are interested in if you do not see availability.

Tours generally last approximately 90 minutes and participants can expect to be standing or walking for a majority of the time. We walk at a moderate pace with many stops for stories.

A majority of our attendees live right here in the Capital area. Saratoga Springs locals participate to learn about the neighborhoods and the city in which they live..

Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory.
